The National Alcohol Forum is hosting a series of three webinars exploring evidence-informed alcohol policy and responses relating to alcohol during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accessible community-based supports for people living with alcohol use disorder, such as managed alcohol programs (MAPs) and mobile withdrawal management support (MWMS), are crucial during the pandemic when access to in-person care can be limited. MAPs aim to reduce the harms of severe alcohol use by providing prescribed doses of alcohol while increasing access to housing, health and social services. MWMS provides mobile withdrawal management services to clients who can choose to be seen in their home, an accommodation or central location in the community.

This final webinar of the series will explore how these community-based services are supporting people living with alcohol use disorders during the pandemic.
