About this report

Outlines CCSA’s activities in fiscal year 2025–2026 and provides the auditor’s report. It highlights   how we engaged with communities of all types and sizes, including geographic, healthcare, workplace, school and youth communities. It also showcases different ways we brought together people and groups who had never worked with each other before to create new communities.

Three key points of interest you will find in the document:

  • Learn how through our Small Cities Initiative, we worked alongside leaders from small cities and towns across Canada to develop the Playbook for Action, a practical resource designed to help municipal leaders respond to substance use challenges in their communities.
  • How we significantly expanded the Canadian Community Epidemiology Network on Drug Use, securing new leads in Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, while supporting existing leads in Alberta, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to strengthen their provincial networks.
  • Recognizing the importance of healthy workplaces, we partnered with Tourism HR Canada to develop co-branded resources to help employers in the tourism and hospitality sectors better address substance use health concerns.
