Women and Addiction Symposium

The Symposium is a full two day event and will offer an opportunity to hear from various presenters who have expertise and experience pertaining to women and addiction with a focus on their children. There will be presenters who will speak to the science of early brain development, adverse childhood experiences and resilience and how ADHD affects the outcomes of children of addiction. As well, discussions will include how supporting children who are accompanying their mother in treatment changes the trajectory of the child. We will hear the outcomes of the Social Pediatrics model for children and outcomes from a population health perspective through the Brain Story and Self-Healing Communities in New Brunswick.
