Addresses some issues and questions about needle exchange programs (NEPs) in Canada, a harm reduction measure for injection drug users. These frequently asked questions address the risks of injection drug use and conclude that, despite public concerns, NEPs are not a danger to the public and can increase the likelihood that injection drug users will seek treatment.
