Anat Ziv, PhD
Research & Policy Analyst


Expertise:
Anat’s expertise lies in developing statistical models to assess trends in health and well-being, estimating trends of short-term disability and specialized treatment and evaluating health-care needs. 

Biography 
Anat Ziv is passionate about contributing to shaping policies and strategies related to substance use. She wants to help improve the physical and mental health and well-being of our society by implementing effective measures that impact individuals with lived and living experience and the communities most affected by associated harms.

Anat Joined CCSA in July 2021 as a Research & Policy Analyst after earning her PhD in demography and sociology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of New Brunswick.

In addition to her work at CCSA, she sits on the board of directors for two nonprofit organizations. These organizations support children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, aiming to enhance their mental health and well-being through supportive programs.
