The City of Edmonton's Traffic Safety section is proud to host T2019, the 22nd International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety (ICADTS) Conference.

Hosted on a rotating basis amongst a range of relevant organizations including Edmonton's own Traffic Safety section, this conference brings together delegates drawn from the areas of public health and safety, traffic, and transport psychology, public health, law, medicine, economics, law enforcement, public policy, education, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic science, human factors, and alcohol intervention and rehabilitation.

For over 65 years delegates have met to find solutions to issues relating to alcohol, drugs and traffic safety around the world. From the first host city Stockholm, Sweden to more recent host cities including Oslo, Norway, Brisbane, Australia and Gramado, Brazil, ICADTS provides delegates with a great opportunity to network and explore ideas and solutions to current and emerging issues.

Questions de substance du CCDUS est l’événement phare du Centre canadien sur les dépendances et l’usage de substances (CCDUS), qui aborde des enjeux liés à la dépendance et à l’usage de substances qui touchent la santé et la sécurité des Canadiens.

Cet événement biennal est le seul congrès national au Canada à réunir des travailleurs en dépendance, des professionnels de la santé, des chercheurs, des responsables des politiques, des courtiers du savoir et des personnes vivant ou ayant vécu directement ou indirectement l’usage de substances ou les troubles liés à l’usage de substances de partout au pays.

Le thème de cette année est Données et perspectives, compassion et action. Ce thème souligne l’importance de la recherche et de l’expérience concrète pour trouver des solutions durables aux besoins des Canadiens souffrant de troubles liés à l’usage de substances. Cette année, le CCDUS devrait accueillir plus de 500 délégués au congrès, dont plus de 150 présentateurs de séances plénières et simultanées et 50 présentateurs par affiches de partout au pays.
