Since cannabis legalization in Canada, consumption by older adults has risen more rapidly than in other age groups. We’ve studied their patterns of consumption, motivations, access, perceptions of risks and benefits, and how legalization has changed their behaviours. Alcohol Labelling
Many people in Canada have limited knowledge of alcohol-related harms, impacting their ability to make informed decisions about alcohol. Labels on alcohol containers could support them in making more informed and safer alcohol decisions, improve awareness of alcohol-caused health risks, and ultimately reduce alcohol consumption and harms while improving health and wellness. Cannabis and Primary Care Providers
Primary care providers may talk about cannabis use with patients but we now know many feel underprepared and uncomfortable with the topic. The results of our national bilingual survey assessing family physicians, general practitioners and nurse practitioners’ knowledge, attitudes, comfort, preparedness and clinical practices related to cannabis) will inform the development of practical clinical guidance and education materials for primary care.

Cannabis, Pregnancy and Chest/Breastfeeding
Cannabis use during pregnancy and chest/breastfeeding is complex and marked by stigma, uncertainty and major information gaps. We interviewed people who used cannabis during pregnancy, chest/breastfeeding or while parenting young children, and our findings will support the creation of clearer, non-judgmental, harm-reduction-oriented information.
