Board chair promises CCSA will continue its important work during Health Canada Review

Dear friends of the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction,
In June, I was appointed as the volunteer Chair of the Board for the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA). As a result, I have been on an exciting journey learning more about CCSA, its talented staff and its ongoing contribution to policy development and knowledge sharing. But I have also learned that CCSA’s path forward is uncertain.

The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction Welcomes Two New Board Members

Ottawa, July 10, 2018 — The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is pleased to announce the appointments of Julie Menten and Daniel Hogan to its Board of Directors. Ms. Menten and Mr. Hogan will serve as members-at-large for a three-year period. The new appointees add further depth and expertise to a national board that is recognized for its diverse experience and dedication to reducing the impact of substance use harms on Canadians.

Ottawa, July 5, 2018 — The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of four new directors to the CCSA Board, including a new chair. These are Governor in Council appointments for a minimum three-year period. The new appointees add further depth and expertise to a national board that is recognized for its diverse experience and dedication to reducing the impact of substance use harms on Canadians.
