U.S. Embassy Speaker Series""

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​CCSA, along with support the United States Embassy to Canada in Ottawa, has developed a cross-Canada program to share experiences and learnings from the United States to communities across Canada that are most affected by the opioid crisis.

The fifth and sixth events in the series, Addressing the Opioid Crisis: Lessons Learned from the United States, will be held on​ Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Montreal,​ and Friday, September 14, 2018 in Halifax.

Dr. Phillip Coffin and Mr Tom Hill shared their expertise on comprehensive treatment, peer support and harm reduction during the U.S. Embassy Speaker, Series One, that took place in Vancouver and Edmonton.

Speaker Series Two took place in Winnipeg and Toronto, where Dr. Ballantyne and Dr. Komaromy shared their knowledge on responsible opioid prescribing and physician mentorship.
