Partnerships

Organizations across Canada with varied strengths and expertise have committed to pool and leverage their abilities to develop and sustain implementation of A Drug Prevention Strategy for Canada’s Youth.  Following are some of the new and existing partnerships that will contribute to this Strategy.

  • National Advisory Group on Youth Substance Abuse Prevention (YSAP)
In July 2008 the National Advisory Group on Youth Substance Abuse Prevention (YSAP) was established to address the National Framework youth priority and to maximize the opportunities presented by A Drug Prevention Strategy for Canada’s Youth. Composed of drug prevention experts and youth representatives, YSAP is co-chaired by the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA), the Centre of Excellence for Youth Engagement (CEYE) and the Drug Prevention Network of Canada (DPNC). YSAP’s mandate is to develop, implement and evaluate deliverables related to A Drug Prevention Strategy for Canada’s Youth that are informed by provincial, territorial, organizational, community and youth representation.
