The National Framework for Action to Reduce the Harms Associated with Alcohol and Other Drugs and Substances in Canada is the culmination of two years of Canada-wide consultations led by CCSA and Health Canada. It sets out 13 priorities for action on substance abuse, which have now been endorsed by 44 partner organizations. CCSA has taken a leading role on a number of priorities, including alcohol; the focus on children and youth; reaching out to Canada's North; sustaining workforce development; and improving the quality, accessibility and range of options to treat harmful substance use, including substance use disorders.
