Our Publications

The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) publishes numerous evidence-informed documents and reports each year in its commitment to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field. CCSA’s publications fall under the following three categories:

Corporate
CCSA’s corporate publications include information on the organization’s past and present activities. This section includes: Action News (CCSA’s newsletter), annual reports and historical documents.

Priorities
CCSA organizes much of its work around the 13 priorities for action outlined in the National Framework for Action to Reduce the Harms Associated with Alcohol and Other Drugs and Substances in Canada—a seminal document that has been endorsed by 44 partner organizations across Canada. CCSA’s current priorities include: Alcohol, Gambling, Impaired Driving, International Drug Prevention, National Framework, Policing/Enforcement, Treatment, Workforce and Youth Drug Prevention.

Research
CCSA provides access to a range of evidence-based information and analysis relating to substance abuse issues. Our current research publications include: research reports, research syntheses, surveys, studies and fact sheets on various topics ranging from the cost of substance abuse to cannabis and harm reduction.
