Celebrating 25 years of positive change
The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) changes lives by bringing people and knowledge together to reduce the harm of alcohol and other drugs on society.
In 2013, CCSA marked its 25th anniversary of working together with hundreds of partners to improve the health and safety of Canadians. We celebrated the progress made since 1988 when parliament first appointed CCSA as the national steward of Canada's drug strategy, under the leadership of our founding Chair, Mr. H. David Archibald.
Since then, we have focussed on partnership, knowledge exchange and evidence-informed actions to create practical tools to drive social change. This focus remains as important to CCSA now as it was 25 years ago.
